About us

Two brothers, a small idea, and a lot of people who needed a meal.

Hope Lives Foundation did not start in an office. It started on the road, with a lunch box, a bag of school books, and one simple question: why is it so hard for people who want to help to find the people who need help?

How it started

It began with just the two of us

Long before there was a name or a website, my brother and I were doing this on our own.

1

We just started

Some days we fed people who had nothing to eat. Some days we bought notebooks, pencils and books for children who could not afford them.

2

We sat with them

Some days we simply sat with the elderly and the blind, talked, laughed and had chai. That part mattered more than we expected. Many of them had not had a proper conversation in weeks.

3

The pockets ran short

We paid for everything ourselves, until we could not. There were more people than we could reach, and the need was bigger than what two brothers could carry.

“

We want to help, but we are scared. What if the money never reaches anyone? What if nobody ever tells us where it went?

These people were not short of kindness. They were short of someone they could trust.

— What people kept telling us
Why Hope Lives

The problem we noticed, and what we built

The problem

"We want to give, but we don't know where."

Many people had been disappointed before. They gave to someone, never heard back, and never knew where their money went.

So they stopped trusting, or they stopped giving. Meanwhile, the people who needed help were still waiting.

What we built

One honest place to give

We needed a place that was simple and honest, where a person could donate safely, see that it was used properly, and know it reached someone who actually needed it.

That place is Hope Lives Foundation.

What we do today

The work we are doing right now

We are a young foundation based in Jaipur, and we are not going to pretend to be bigger than we are. This is what we do today.

Food for the hungry

Meals for people on the street and for families who go to sleep without eating.

Books for children

School supplies and study material for children whose parents cannot afford them, so money never decides who studies.

Time with elders and the blind

Food, care and company for old parents and visually impaired people, because being remembered is also a kind of help.

Animals who have no one

Gau seva, food for monkeys every Tuesday and Saturday, and meals for stray dogs and cattle.

How we work

Simple, secure and open

Every rupee has a purpose

You choose a cause, such as meals, elder care, gau seva or Vanar seva, and your money goes to that work.

Payments are secure

Donations go through trusted payment gateways. We never see or store your card or UPI details.

Nothing is hidden

Successful donations appear on our transparency list, so anyone can see the money coming in.

We are reachable

There is a real phone number and a real email on this website. If something goes wrong, write to us and a person will answer.

One more thing

You don't have to be rich to help

We say this to everyone, whether or not they donate to us. You do not need a big amount, and you do not need to travel far. Look around you. There is probably a hungry person, a stray dog, or an old neighbour living alone within a few minutes of your home.

Help one person, once a week or once a month. It is enough. If every one of us does that, the combined effect is much bigger than any single organisation can achieve. We are only trying to make it a little easier for you to start.

1
Feed one personA meal for someone hungry near your home or office.
2
Put out water and foodFor a stray dog, a cow or the birds outside your house.
3
Visit an elderSit for half an hour with someone who lives alone. Talking helps more than you think.
4
Pass on a child's booksOld notebooks and school books can start another child's year.

Be part of this family

Donate whatever you can, give your time, or simply tell us about someone in your area who needs help. All of it counts.

Thank you for being here.— Founders, Hope Lives Foundation, Jaipur
