Why this Diwali

Every street is lit. Some children are still waiting.

For most of us Diwali means new clothes, sweets on every plate and a house full of light. For children whose families are struggling to pay for food and rent, the festival passes by outside the door.

This Diwali we want to change that for as many children as we can. Each Full Diwali Kit is packed by our team and given to the child directly, with a smile, a sweet and something new to wear.

Questions

Before you give.

Who receives the kits?

Children from families who cannot afford to celebrate Diwali. Our team hands each kit to the child in person.

When will the kits be given?

We shop and pack in the first days of November and distribute around Dhanteras and Diwali. Sponsoring by 4 November gives us time to buy and pack everything. Donations after that are still welcome and go to the children we reach last.

Are the crackers safe?

We give only safe sparklers and flower pots, in small packs. We do not give loud or dangerous crackers.

Will you show the children's faces?

We share photos and video from the distribution, but we protect the children's privacy. We do not publish names, and we avoid showing faces without permission.

What is a "set"?

A set is one pack of the item, as written on its card. For example, one Full Diwali Kit is for one child. Each card shows how many sets are needed and how many are already sponsored.

Is my payment safe?

Yes. Payments go through a licensed payment gateway. Your card, UPI or bank details go to them directly, and we never store them.

Will I get a receipt?

You will see your payment confirmation right after you pay, and a receipt is emailed to you within a few minutes (please check your spam folder too). If it does not arrive, write to [email protected] with your payment ID and we will send it to you.
